Use of Cannabis
The use of recreational cannabis will become legal in Canada on October 17, 2018.

This Policy and Information Release is intended to provide additional direction and clarification related to the use and possession of cannabis by students in relation to the Provincial School Code of Conduct.

Use and Possession of Cannabis by Students
The use, possession, sale, or distribution of cannabis will continue to be banned for students while on school grounds or during school sanctioned activities, regardless of the age of the student. Cannabis will continue to be categorized as a prohibited product under the Provincial School Code of Conduct (https://www.ednet.ns.ca/docs/provincialschoolcodeofconduct.pdf).

Flu Vaccination Clinic
There will be a flu vaccination clinic on October 29th and 30th at CEC. To get a vaccination, students must have their Vaccination Consent Form signed and returned to the office by October 24th. Find out more about the clinic.

Mi'kmaq History Month
October is Mi'kmaq History Month. Throughout the month of October, students in CCRCE will be increasing their knowledge and awareness of Mi'kmaq culture, history and heritage as we celebrate Mi'kmaq History Month. Make sure to check out CCRCE's Facebook and Twitter page over the next month to catch school activities that celebrate and showcase Mi'kmaq history and culture.
